the return of the test:
crunchbang is real fast, simple, dark ( mac magician should be happy). but i have an ubuntu teeshirt just new. i can't wear my ubuntu one running funny #! :D
i'm back to my ubuntu. i wait for mac magician to help me to double boot ubu-crunch.
i'm a gnome addict i think.

Wow. Black and white. I don't like dark themes - but this looks very nice!

Excuse me Mr Corenominal - please feed some themes through here - not sure how to install or anything, but Gwibber needs some coffee man ;) even black stipes wouldn't be too ugly :P

So I guess I'm hoping to find some way to install this on USB - perhaps have a separate partition /home, and some kind of kickstart CD (lots of computers around here with no USB boot in bios...)

Is this feasible? Such a shame you don't have an 'Office' variation. My real aim is to have a completely portable fast-booting desktop, fast booting from USB. This is so much better than Puppy at first looks!

How can I keep it in my pocket? - I'll certainly be recommending some dual-boot scenario's and handing out a few copies of discs (I consider this to be a small price to pay in return for the free download - and I am not Paypal enabled in Thailand)

just a problem... I installed #! by formating HD, 10 Go for /root in ext3, 1 Go for swap, the rest for /home ext3.
I said that i'm a dumb frenchy and I want my computer to speak french.
Everything is in damned shakespeare thong !

Here again, I don't know why, this time re-logging with again and precising again too that I wanted all in french was accepted.

Everything is fast, simple, beautiful... #!

Good luck with the download, it sounds painful! Regarding the hype, I am not sure if it is justified, probably not. As for project Bubble'n'Squeak, it was super successful, but only because I let Trouble'n'strife manage it! :D Hmmm, bubble'n'squeak **dribbles**

I love that Avatar - it's fitting for a serial killer b-) and it's heavily digitised.

@Philip, good evening, Sir. I am attempting to pull your CD ISO down a peice of damp string, and will install it if I'm successful (hopefully it won't disrupt my 8.10 ubuntu gnome installation just yet...) - mostly just to find out how much of this hype is bull (as you must admit it usually is ;)) - and partly because Fab deserted gnome for it. With a fast graphics card, I'm not sure you'll pull me away from my desktop. Anyway, I'll hang around waiting and read and learn - I'm sure a lot of what's occurring in here will be relevant to me also.

BTW, how was the Bubble&Squeak project? did it get out of beta?
