Last post for the dy. Nothing is getting done except babbling ... ( hears collective sigh of relief.)

What ? Am opinionated darn it ... It's a forum, lol.

Respect Ivan, but wanted to babble some stuff. Sadly have to agree about the LM main thing, gnome3 shook em up over there imo. Like it did a ton of gnome-centric distro's. Betting they'll be back on track before long and living up to the buntu done right label they earned. Besides LM's got Debian based and more releases than someone can shake a stick @. Some of them can be or are as light as #!.

Started with LM10 ... Had heard so many people trumpeting buntu. Couldn't wait to try it ... Was debating a couple starter distros and on the verge of trying buntu 1st. Came across post ... LM ... buntu based, but better. Hmmmm ... try it, borked it almost immed, brief jump to buntu 10.10.

Buntu 10.10 ... Pure, distilled gnu/nixy horror imo.

Window controls reversed for unknowable weird Canonical Inc reasons. This, that, bloat ... omg. Thought if this is the best gnu/Linux has to offer, am going back to window$ where I'll be safe from this nonsense. Reinstalled LM10 ... stuck with, bork reinstall, bork ... reinstall. Rinse and repeat a couple dozen times until figured out ... blah.

O course mentioned am sure many great gnu/nixers involved with both. No offense or disrespect either way so forth. In buntu's defense, am sure they've got tons of stuff that would work great too. Have a couple times stopped and wondered.

Wth is a distro anyway, what tech constitutes a gnu/nix distro ? A wallpaper or logo ... what exactly ? Buntu is no doubt overwhelming majority Debian ... If you go to distrowatch and search for buntu based distros. Bunch come up, rerun the same search for distro's based on Debian. All those same buntu credded distro's come up again + buntu itself. Know there's patches this, n changes that ... But fact is the majority of buntu is something buntu had zero to do with and was around longggggggg before that distro was a gleam in Canonical Inc's eye.

Weird and end babble ... Good dy folks, I SAID GOOD DAY ! :D May peace be upon us, n happy computing.

PS, sorry for the wall of text or in my case WOB = Wall of babble. :P
