for everybody contributing their time and effort working on this wonderful distro , i would just like to say thank you . stand up , take a bow , because you've earned it . i've been struggling for the past two weeks to get my eeepc 1005ha to do the kind of things most people would likely suspect a netbook might do , like connecting to wifi and having wpa security work , or allowing my microphone to interact with skype in a satisfactory manner.

to be fair to the other distros i tried [ mint 8 and eeebuntu ] i'm sure they might have worked , one day , if i was ever able to piece together a vast knowledge of linux by following all the dead-end threads i was chasing . i kept finding forum posts that looked like they could well possibly help me and set about applying them , but things just got worse for me and my poor little netbook .

in despair i looked around for some alternatives and came to your wonderful site . when i did a search on your forum for "1005ha" the first thing that popped up was the sweetest looking post i've laid my eyes on in a very frustrating fortnight . i took the plunge , downloaded the .iso , loaded it onto my thumbdrive and away i went . i've only made it the tiniest fraction through the post on the 1005ha and already i have wifi working correctly with wpa , and was able to skype for the first time in two weeks . i've poked through some other posts and i have a good feeling for your group . on other forums i kept getting the sense that nobody was having any fun , not the people asking for help and certainly not the people answering their questions . there also seemed to be a disconnect between posters that knew quite a bit about linux and posters that didn't . from the small sampling i've done , it would appear your posters know in detail what they're going on about , but at the same time they explain exactly what it is they're doing .

so with warm regards , let me say thanks again and congratulate you on your fine distro !
-monty:D
