Any luck on finding a work around? I couldn't get much of how to fix this issue from the two bug reports.

Found the issue, it's a bug with 64-bit debian not including the necessary svg decoder when running 32-bit firefox:

What happens if you change the icon theme to something besides Tango then restart Firefox?

Or are the icons missing for all icon themes?

Some applications are a bit quirky about how they update icons when you change themes. With some (most?) icons change automatically; some don't change the icons until you kill & restart the app (I think Iceweasel/Firefox is one of these). Tint2 doesn't change icons in its systray even if you kill & restart; you have to logout & restart X to get the new icons there.

If restarting X doesn't get you the right icons, you might need to do an internet search for something like "mozilla branding".

Any ideas on what I can do to get the icons if it's already installed?

^ The tango theme should already be installed; in your openbox right-click menu, go to Settings => User Interface Settings and take a look at the Icon tab.

I did get mine directly from Mozilla, because the debian repos don't have the 'regular' Firefox.

How can I install the tango icon theme?

afaik firefox always came with an icon theme, so you may want to install the tango icon theme or something. I'm not sure that thats the whole story tho, firefox has always used the default icon theme no probs so perhaps its patched in the repos, im guessing youve got yours direct from mozila.

Not sure about the missing buttons, but the fonts are that of the system, so you would need to change your system fonts.

Any idea why this would happen? Using "real" Firefox in Openbox Statler Alpha 2 amd64.

Icons seem to be missing everywhere.

The fonts also seem off -- is this how they're supposed to look?
