@ESCAPADO: I really like your minimalistic setup
Hi all, I'm new to #! like perhaps many here - greets.
I switched over from Intrepid and I simply love it. Here's my fetal desktop with 2 wallpapers that I can't decide between:
I say fetal because I'm still working on some ideas I've got, but I'm not terribly confident writing scripts from scratch (just editing them, ha!) so any input from the community here would be fantastic.
If someone can point me in the direction of how to get the Google search field stuck to my desktop, preferably between my bottom left and right conky's that would be brill.
Maybe someone has a sample rhythmbox conky script they could throw at me too...(?) ;P

hey !, i crunch my wife....... at least
she was borred on ubuntu/gnome freeze on her laptop (an 3years old Asus) and so decided to crunch it and that's the result:

now my new desktop-styling is done
the rss-feeds on the top change every 30 seconds (done with a modification of that script)

You gotta love NOFX nice theme btw very consistent

I'm using Loma as theme, Icons are Human-2, all fonts are Liberation sans, and using opera with some widgets like a calculator, weather, clock and notes.
Conky is a mix of other ones that I found on internet.

I have to ask what theme you're using? Both OB-theme and gtk-theme.
And that pidgin-script, how did you do that?! That is awesome. I simply love the simplicity of your desktop!!

I'm using lxpanel. Just have it set to align to the right instead of the bottom.

First off, love the wallpaper. Don't know what it is but it is awesome .
Secondly, what media player are you using? I'm curious on how you have the song info in the corner and the controls in the system tray....I guess that question can go to anyone who might know.
Thought since I'm new I'd throw a screenshot in here to let you see how the whole customization thing is going (conky has really become a distraction for studying microbiology).
