Cool I'll join, get familiar with your source packages and help out where i can
nice to know. i had been wondering where were all tasks, tickets, code, etc. my opinion : so far the quality and success and #! is due to the talent and good taste of corenominal and his trusted people. if the project starts growing, it may become chaotic, there are plenty of FOSS project that have failed because of ego fights. my advice : manage this project with a friendly-dictatorial style. something like svn or the linux kernel (not being necessary to offend people, as torvalds is reported to to sometimes). it's not possible to make happy everybody, and to me, so far so good.

not much of a developer, more a webdesigner, but willing to help out where I can (and where I can find the time)
I joined, but I'll be completely useless, I can assure you, lol
I have a few spare computers here though, so i can always do Alpha testing.
(You know, when the disclaimer is actually true?
)
Joined, can someone approve me, got some crazy ideas ![]()
just joined ![]()
hope i can help, in any section, but specially in french translation.. ![]()
and i really want to know where #! will go ![]()
I joined tonight, if I can be of any help in translation to french.
Goodwilled, short spare timed, if that does not rebuke you ![]()
I joined. I can do some testing and other odds and ends. I'm wondering something - is this thing dead?
is this thing dead?
What 'thing' would you be referring to?

Crunchbangers Launch Pad project.
^Ok. It's still alive and running but Crunchbangers is a team rather than a project. The Crunchbangers ppa is where testing packages are stored.

Okay, good to know it's alive. Still, don't teams generally do something? And if they do something like building and testing packages that could be called a project, couldn't it?

It could. ![]()
To be honest, the Launchpad side of things has been a little slow, something I could probably be blamed for. Having said that, CrunchBang remains a fairly young project and I guess we are all still finding our feet. If you, or anyone would like to contribute in anyway, please feel free to discuss, I am sure there would be more than a few interested parties, myself included. ![]()
I'd love to help -- just joined Launchpad. I've never done any OS development, but I'd love to get my hands dirty. I have a good amount of programming / project development experience, just lacking a bit in the time area (grad school tends to do that).
How does this work? Are there particular projects or just look at known bugs and try to fix 'em?
I'm a bit of an eclectic when it comes to Linux -- I can't help trying out different distributions and changing things up. Since I've come to #!, I can't bring myself to go anywhere else
.
I just applied to join (lillis). However my programming experienced is limited to some very basic Python. I'd be happy to help with things like bug testing, user experience issues, general input and translation (Swedish). I'm not new to GNU/Linux but I'm new to actually joining up in a community like this. But you just seem like such a lovely bunch, and #! seems to be the first distro I'd ever install and just keep more or less as is, so I figured I should give it a go. Since the community is relatively small I also don't feel completely redundant, despite my limited skills in the most needed of areas. ![]()
As I am new to the world of "buntu", can some please tell me what being a member on the launchpad would mean?
I assume that when someone that is not on the team finds a bug, it will be reported. Is there a higher priority if it is a team member? If a non team member comes up with a fix or patch, does it have to be approved by the team first before it is looked at and implemented? I really don't know how this whole thing works.
What benefit/responsibility goes along with being a member?
Thanks, Chet
