That's good one, ggordon!
Tint looks good too, maybe I have to try it. Wbar is somehow too much on the #! desktop.

Thanks for the welcome machina - but I'm a sassenach from the north west of England who came to Glasgow for work reasons seven years ago and, as you probably know, residence doesn't count when you're English! ![]()

I have the talking cow, but how can I have the talking penguin?? And the fortune teller? They are so cool =p
And what is "Rob" that you always put on the end of your posts? o.o

stab in the dark... Maybe his name?

The packages cowsay and fortune are required. After a brief session of google-fu, I decided that not only did I want my cow to say random fortunes but also to have random cows loaded each time. In order to do this I added the following lines to my .bashrc:
if [ !$COWPATH ]
then
COWPATH='/usr/share/cowsay/cows'
fi
cow_file_length=`ls -1 $COWPATH | wc -l`
RANDOM=$$ # initialized the random seed with the process id of this script
let "random_line = $RANDOM % $cow_file_length + 1"
cow=`ls -1 $COWPATH | head -n $random_line | tail -n 1`
fortune -a | cowsay -n -f $cow
However, if you just want random wisdom from the tux cow just add the line:
fortune -a | cowsay -n -f tux
The addition of the word Rob at the bottom of my posts is nothing darker than I am in the habit of signing off with my name.
Rob ![]()
I figured too it would be the name =p
Thanks, installed the fortune-mod, so cool. The others cows as well, I didnt even know there were others ^^
Gotta prepare a screenshot with my cows now lol
On a midnight drive - you can see two American states on this background.
Can you name them? Hint: about 20 miles from my location. ![]()

This one is still fairly dark but provides good readable contrast with the conky text output:

Thanks, Trouble'n'strife, I had already registered in the older CrunchBang forum.
PS: You know, these eeepc are so nice, you should get your S.O one! ![]()

Hoover Dam, yes. Colorado, no. Colorado River, yes. The Dam is between Nevada and Arizona.

OMG, I'm so happy to see that I'm not the only woman obsessed by Bryan Ferry!!!:cool:
It's always love to meet people who have good taste.
And welcome!
I like the theme, subtle and elegant. I also like the fact I am sharing your Gwibber screen with Stephen Fry!
He is very amusing, I am a big fan.
P.S. Welcome to the forums! ![]()
