No mirror or torrent for 32-bit lite yet? I'm currently downloading and seeding the standard, but really want to try the lite install this time around.
now seeding...:D

For some reason failed to upload #! lite to thebiratebay and mininova. while seeding the other iso with 600KB/second
I have uploaded the 32-bit main version up...here is the link:
http://crunchbang.squeezeoflime.com/iso 1.i386.iso
or just visit this [rudimentary] site:
http://crunchbang.squeezeoflime.com/
for a list of all available isos. I'll upload others as I get them.
After 30-40 min later 64-bit iso wil be available from ftp://svemi.silvernet.ru/linux/cranchbang .
Welcome!

Oops, I think I broke the interweb! ![]()
So, here is an update as to what is happening. Basically, I uploaded the ISO images last night and posted the release notes this morning, I then went to bed. I slept really well. I then got up and checked my email, only to find a message from Dreamhost support:
Your site was causing the server you are on (******) to saturate its connection to the switch which was breaking MySQL on the server you are on. If you want you can move the linux ISO's you were hosting to a sub-domain and I can move the throttle to that otherwise the throttle will have to stay. Currently the throttle is set to limit total bandwidth usage of your site to 50 megabits.

Apologies to everyone for this breakage. I am trying to resolve these issues now. I will be monitoring this thread, so if you have any suggestions, please feel free to post. ![]()
A HUGE THANK YOU to everyone working on the torrents, your efforts are appreciated!
Right... am wget -c ing the 32bit lite iso this time WILL get a torrent set up around 10 when i get back home provided the image checksums
...and no one beats me to it lol

64bit standard release. Will seed (as long as rtorrent can keep itself running:D) 24/7.
EDIT: I seem to have some problems connecting to the tracker... from the looks of it DHT is working full speed but the torrent is listed as having no seeds.

Hey guys,
I run a LUG in the Amarillo Texas area, and I have server space/bandwidth available. I currently mirror Ubuntu, Linux Mint, and Backtrack. I'd be happy to set up a permanent mirror for you guys.
Do you guys have an rsync server set up that I can mirror from? I do all of my other mirroring using cron to run an rsync command. It happens automatically every night. Then I don't have to keep up with release dates and such. If no rsync is available, I'll still be glad to mirror them for you.
Hi! I was looking around for the latest version of the CrunchBang EEE edition for my Asus 1000HE when I found out this new version came out today! I downloaded the standard edition and have thrown up a mirror on my RIT.edu connection, I can handle unlimited traffic, but only upload at around 500KB total... Throw me on the list!

There is a very easy way to create a torrent with public trackers:
Execute python metalink.py crunchbang-9.04.01.i386.iso crunchbang-9.04.01.amd64.iso --mirrors="http://crunchbang.net/pub/linux/ http://linux.starvinghacker.org/" --create-torrent="http://tracker.openbittorrent.com:80/announce udp://tracker.openbittorrent.com:80/announce,http://open.tracker.thepiratebay.org/announce,http://tracker.prq.to/announce"
Upload the torrents to public torrent sites like mininova
Link to the uploaded torrents
This will generate .torrent files for both .iso files in one step including .metalink files containing the mirrors.
If you only want to generate .torrent files for all .iso files:
python metalink.py *.iso --create-torrent-only="http://tracker.openbittorrent.com:80/announce udp://tracker.openbittorrent.com:80/announce,http://open.tracker.thepiratebay.org/announce,http://tracker.prq.to/announce"
I recommend creating a category at http://linuxtracker.org/ and using their tracker, too.
You can read about using other public trackers here (mininova, legaltorrents), especially distributing with mininova is very interesting:
http://diegoripley.com/2009/07/so-you-w
t-tracker/
Looks like crunchbang.net crashed.
I'll see if I can torrent then find somewhere to mirror the files.
I have a freehost that is known for disappearing for ages at a time, but it has a 15GB cap on files to hold on the server, and no posted b/w limit, so it works pretty well when it IS up. I'll see if I can get to upload a copy of some of the files to it.

crunchbang 9.04.01 i386 Lite.................................seeding for ever
...seeding
I should be able to get a working download mirror here:
http://gooplusplus.com/crunchbang/
At the moment, it points to the CrunchBang 9.04.01 ISO files on your site.
As soon as I get the files uploaded, I will change the URLs to point elsewhere.

Heres a torrent for the 64 bit lite edition...
I have a full Crunchbang 9.04.01 mirror hosted here.
Oh my god, that a powerfull community feedback! 35 seeder and counting. #! is the best ubuntu alternative!! peer2peer all the WAY. No worries for Dreamhost, no wonder it got saturated, #! is the bomb... i'll be seed for EVER as well ![]()
