^^good thing ... but the "#" symbol cannot be displayed anymore ![]()
You can still use "#", just don't have it by itself.

yes.... no more conky lines like "#! system"... have to be "cbl system" ..
another thing: ibm sensors doesn't seems to work anymore... did i miss something? do i have to enable ibm support while compiling ?
You can have "#!". As long as a character is right next to the "#" it will work:

^thx for the tips anonymous, but i've downgrade conky; i can't make ibm-sensors working (don't know why, it's supposed to be enable by default). but i keep an eye on it and upgrade as soon as sensors work ![]()
ok, ibm-sensors are no longer enable by default, if you want it , you have to enable it while compiling.
in fact, many things could be enable : see here ![]()
Awww come on... another update.....
Well lets get this over with.......
sudo system-update [*beep* Nuclear missile ready] sigh... ill be right back people......

This is not the case for me. Having #! even with the ! next to it, still doesn't work.
Try escaping like /#. I read about that at Arch Forums, dunno if you have to patch conky for that. Maybe they included it by now.
for those who have issues to display #! in their conky:
${exec echo "#!"} if you want to display #!![]()

Nice tip, thank you for sharing! ![]()
^thanks, it's not from me... but i can't remember where i've seen it ![]()
hi #!ers ![]()
if you want conky 1.7.2.DEB with all new-features enable by default, you can go to Cesare Tirabassi PPA to dl it. jaunty & karmic debs available ![]()
just take a look at the debs list to choose the right one.

I think you have to use a backslash. \# is what In did in the past and it worked. Or you could type out ${exec echo "#!"} if that floats your boat.
