I have updated the 9.04.xx repositories with the latest tint2 package, version 1.7.1 ~ Subversion revision 155.

EDIT: COOOOL! Since the tint2 guy got himself an eee, he'll tinker an auto hide feature. Nice!

I read that too, it will be a good feature to include and since he will be scratching his own back, I would expect it sooner rather than later.

just as a question, it seems, and it may be my inexperience with things "scripty", but when I was first fiddling with conky and xmms2 I was saving and then "restarting" conky and kind of in the middle of the last few days, I saw that the conky stuff on the top right of the screen "blinked" and the changed scripts(all text) appeared without a "restart" is that part of the update/whatever?

Thought I'd take the plunge but the extracted tar(to home) wouldn't ./config because "pangocairo" wasn't there it tried to install another package and a pango_cairo lib but no joy.
no make and no make install.

I've been using version ?? (how do you tell which version is installed? I think it is the one from killeroid PPA) of Tint2, partly to get tooltips and partly for autohide. Unfortunately it crashes fairly quickly with autohide activated on my setup, but the tooltips work great. Autohide has been in there since the start of this year. I'm not sure just what it clashes with on my machine.
