Topic: Help me write the wiki entry on theming CrunchBang

I am very interested in theming #!, but I have a very limited understanding of how the pieces of the jigsaw fit together. I would like to assemble a wiki entry to help myself and others down the road. I want to pad this information out with links to the most useful resources and I would like to comprehensively cover everything that can be customised, from the obvious (wallpaper) to the less obvious (a #! Firefox theme?).

So I've started a wiki page, largely so I can get my head around all the different elements. (With thanks to Kestrel and Seth for explaining some things to me in IRC): http://crunchbanglinux.org/wiki/theming

It would be a great help if people with an interest could glance at this now and a little later down the road to see if I am missing anything important. Feel free to edit the wiki page or just leave a comment in this thread. big_smile

Wow. First off, good luck with this. This is quite a project.
With that being said, it looks like you've got a decent start, seeing as it already has links and is in a fairly organized structure. However, I think it would be fairly useful to add mini how-tos. You present the options and resources, however the wiki does not yet show how to turn those resources into a reality.
Otherwise, this wiki page is looking good. big_smile

A basic how-to for each area would very useful, I agree. I'll write them as I learn how-to. wink

Thanks too Corenominal. I hope to add a fair amount of content over the next few weeks. Hopefully this will lead to some really high quality themes for #! big_smile
