Do you have an update on the 64bit release date?
Yeah! I can't wait for it to come out, it will be nice making use of all of my ram.
Hmmm.
What would be the biggest difference between 32 and 64. Cus I have a 32bit machine and I still use #! ![]()
And it runs like a dream!

Lots of pros and cons regarding 64bit, the main thing is the ability to correctly use 64bit ints/floats in code, while it doesn't sound massive you'll see a slight speed improvement on some of the newer processors.
Also, PAE, the method of accessing 3.5GB on 32bit is a hack at best, with 64bit you can address up to 2Tb of RAM (I think...)

Thanks for the info ![]()
Well I don't have 2Tb of RAM in my laptop ![]()
And definitely don't mind the slight speed decrease.
