I stole the graphic for my conky from the OH MY GOD THAT IS TOO AWESOME conky config by sen7

(I did not steal his whole config, just the nice image and stuck my conky on top...

Not sure if you'll like the lower contrast and slightly granite-ish finish, but it has better tonality and smoother gradiations overall
.... and it's in your monitor aspect ratio (4:3)

@tawan
That's awesome.
I imagine aligning all the stuff must have been quite tedious.
Edit:
Did you change the screenshot?... could've sworn the conky was at the bottom just now. O_o

Ooh thank you smile, I have to say I personally prefer the grain over the granite-ish.

Sorry... want me to make another one?

For today;
Used to be really into macro photography (still am, but humid tropical weather is a b**ch sometimes)... wallpaper is just an old photo I played around with.
Feels more Dragonfly-BSD than Linux, though hmm

Re: February 2010 Screenshot thread

Lol ADcomp. I haven't been living up to my scripting master title lately anyway. Too much java for school, it's poisoning my brain. I really don't like working with it, but I have at least one or two more classes with it. I'm probably going to have to do a C# class too, really not looking forward to that one either. At least the unix shell scripting one should be easy.

I say never be complete, I say stop being perfect, I say lets evolve, let the chips fall where they may.

Tint2 config, although it is modded (lightly), is made originally by Hanna.

The spiral thing around the logo gives a Debian feel (sort of).... sign of things to come, perhaps?

Very nice. smile
Small suggestion: Configure your conky to show remaining battery life so that you can comment out the battery icon in your tint2 systray.

Point & Squirt

Re: February 2010 Screenshot thread

^ Black-Gnome should replace that default battery icon, but I think it takes a logout (if not a restart) for Tint2 to show it.  It isn't just Tint2, same thing holds for XFCE4 Panel, so I think the issue is in the Gnome Power Manager.  Anyway, a logout/login should take care of it.

while ( ! ( succeed = try() ) );

Re: February 2010 Screenshot thread

The battery icon actually is just an option I set with Gnome Power Manager, makes it easier to suspend, due to the fact that I just had to reinstall, and I haven't upgraded the openbox logout menu yet.  But I will add the battery icon to my conky as soon as I do that.  Hopefully it won't show up as 0% all the time though, like last time.

I'm also thinking of adding a clock to the tint2 config, as its kind of annoying having to minimize my windows to view my conky.  Unless of course, there's an option to make the conky be like a panel, and have the windows not go past it...

EDIT I just managed to get my conky to show up like a panel, and not have the windows go over it.  yay.

I don't think you can do this through the conkyrc.  I have seen people who have simply covered their conky with an empty transparent panel so that it doesn't get covered.

It's hard to find something if you don't know what you're looking for.
I have a blog, it's mostly about conky and lua stuff... go here.

Well, there seems to be a panel option for own_window_type, that and obconf editor will let you set a margin for all windows.  So I did it.
