scrot -d [number of seconds delay] '%Y-%m-%d--%s_$wx$h_scrot.png' -e 'mv $f ~/images/ & gpicview ~/images/$f'If you change 'gpicview' to 'viewnior' it works fine.
It could be better to use gnome-open instead !

Nice find! ![]()

I remember seeing this on omgubuntu and installed it at the time on my Mint install
Thanks for reminding me =]
Beginner question time:
I'd like to install the latest version of this, so I added the PPA mentioned by Anonymous earlier in this thread. However, when I try to install viewnior it's only showing me version 0.5 - which I think is the version in the #! repo. Version 0.7 is the latest one.
What do I need to do to get 0.7?

Have you remembered to do:
sudo apt-get update?
and added the key?
Yes, I've done a sudo apt-get update and added the signing key. I'm not getting any error messages, it's just not showing the newer version...
The PPA is correctly displayed in the third-party software section of Synaptic (it's http://ppa.launchpad.net/xsisqox/ppa/ubuntu jaunty main).
I just install it and I love it...I was missing so much animated gifs. If only it could show nef files too...but I'm asking too much...
@Jimbo_G
This is something typical to me for some ppas, you just have to force version to 0.7 and then lock version so it won't downgrade every time you upgrade. force and lock versions are under Package on Synaptic... of course there is an alternative way to do it...
Been using it for a while now and it's great!
I just installed it and can already see that it's snappier than gpicview...sudo apt-get remove gpicview!
