Topic: $200 Internet TV Dlink "Boxee Box" - Linux Inside

I expect these to be big sellers after the April to June estimated delivery date.
I know that I want one.

I should also point out that as with a lot of the newest and best devices these days,
it has Linux Inside, not outdated Windows.

looks nice, but I still think they should have gone with a more standard form factor. Crazy cases are cool for gaming, not so much for A/V equipment.

I agree with that but for marketing a unique look will likely help it stand out in a relatively new but growing product category.  Slingbox (ugly boxes, IMO) did the same thing and it seems to have worked for them.  Hopefully, a second generation will quickly follow with a more polished A/V look.

At $200, with 3 USB ports, an SD/SDHC slot, ethernet and wireless N, while running a custom Ubuntu OS, I wonder if some people won't actually use a Dlink Boxee box as a portable, low footprint, low power, and silent nettop replacements and not just a media center device.
