Topic: statler, a mouse killer ?

Ok, so i've just installed statler, and the mouse doesn't work, (after not working on the live cd), google didn't turn up anything, tried everything i could think of, so booted back into 9.04, mouse doesn't work there now, swapped mice and now works fine on both systems.

funny thing is, i booted back into 9.04 to check this wasn't a common issue, after i had checked the live cd and it worked fine, so either statler is a killer of mice, or my mouse just happened to go intermittently when trying the live cd then totally when i installed statler hmm

Hmm, this is worrying. Could you provide details of the mouse model and make?

Re: statler, a mouse killer ?

If its a USB mouse, try connecting to a different port  and keep an eye out if this problem happens again.

Re: statler, a mouse killer ?

I don't think its a software problem (thats why i put it in off topic) and both mice are ps2 anyway, the fact that it has ceased to work in 9.04 kind of confirms to me its hardware, i'm just putting it down to coincidence. as the mouse is >10 yrs old.

I did intend my OP to be more of a humorous post rather than a serious bug report, although i admit it doesn't read like that, so thank you for your concern you two smile

Phew, I would hate to think that anything I might have done would be responsible for killing mice. I like mice! smile

Are they bigger in the UK? Over here in the US they tend to be hors d'oeuvres sized.

actually the skull is quite nice, its like a fererro rocher, crunchy bits on the out side, with a smooth centre, the bit i don't like is the tail.

@chilicampari
they are slightly bigger, we use what you might call bear traps to catch our mice smile
