Topic: Change cursor / pointer size?

Hi,

I've recently installed Crunchbang on an eee900 and am very pleasantly surprised by the way it all works and works fast. It feels much quicker than standard ubuntu 8.4/8.10/9.4beta..

The problem I have is that I'd prefer the cursor to be larger. Say 32pixels. I've installed extra cursor themes and managed to find some advice online saying that I should edit /.Xdefaults to include Xcursor.size:  32.

This I have done but all I get is a flash of larger cursor just after X loads then back to normal size. It's as if Openbox is hijacking cursor settings from X.

Anyone know how to set the cursor size?

I think this is something a lot of people might want to do on netbooks.

One other thing I have changed sinced installation is the fonts. They are too small for a 9" screen.. Liberation 9 sans all round is much better.

Re: Change cursor / pointer size?

I was having the same problem with changing the cursor theme, I ended up having to change it in /usr/share/icons/default/index.theme and it took.

I say never be complete, I say stop being perfect, I say lets evolve, let the chips fall where they may.

Re: Change cursor / pointer size?

But can I change size that way?

I did look at that and could find no command to insert that would force a larger cursor.
