No no no no! You don't get off that easy!

I want to know if it's: 'yadda, yadda', 'Yadda, yadda', 'Yadda, Yadda' or 'yadda, Yadda'

At my age my life may depend on it!

I just had a perverse thought that this is going to be like a song that gets stuck in your head and for days you'll be sitting there saying yadda, yadda to yourself -- meanwhile people walking by will be giving you a wide berth.  wink

hahahaha ... like the "yadda yadda boom-tea-ay" going on in my head now because of you?

You mean like that - "days" of that and it will qualify right up there with "drop of water on the forehead torture" technique. "yadda yadda boom-tea-ay"

Scheech ..... "yadda yadda boom-tea-ay"

Who's the leader of the club
That's made for you and me?
M-I-C-K-E-Y M-O-U-S-E!

Hey, there! Hi, there! Ho, there!
You're as welcome as can be!
M--I-C-K-E-Y M-O-U-S-E

Mickey Mouse! Donald Duck!
Mickey Mouse! Donald Duck!
Forever let us hold our banners high!
High! High! High!

"yadda yadda boom-tea-ay"

Come along and sing a song
And join the jamboree
M-I-C-K-E-Y M-O-U-S-E

repeating that in my mind - over and over ....  lol

Re: The Official #! Over-the-Hill-CrunchGang Thread

Hey, ignoring all that stuff (jeez, wish I could - we had that Mickey Mouse song too), here's some nostalgiafodder for the British members (are there any?)

Radio programmes, especially Sunday afternoon, after Sunday Dinner, anyone remember:
The Billy Cotton Band Show ("Hey, you down there with the glasses...")
Have a Go with Wilfred Pickles ("give him the money, Mabel")
Edmundo Ross (my introduction to Latin music and that Spanish scale...)
(more famous)
The Goon Show (especially the amazing Spike Milligan, way ahead of its time and Monty Python's forerunner)
Round the Horne (with the late great Kenneth Williams)
Hancock's Half Hour (with Sid James, Hattie Jacques and Bill Kerr)

I rate those:
The worst - I was almost never there for that!
The best - first sounds of the theme some and I was running downstairs.
At times OK - had to wait and see what was coming, but as I got older I was around a lot more.

True, true, very true.

I'm too old to 'waste' anything . . . especially, time.

Re: The Official #! Over-the-Hill-CrunchGang Thread

Good grief I hadn't realised it was such a widely-used saying! I thought I'd just made it up roll

I was thinking about where a restriction in one dimension opens up new avenues in another - like those Japanese black and white paintings that conjure up a whole world, the Korean taste palette of soy sauce, sesame, garlic, chilli that sounds limited but has a whole universe in it, the many many hours that Japanese students have to devote to learning Chinese characters that they could have spent on philosophy or mathematics...

Really?  That's cool.  cool

I thought that you were just kidding around with that saying of yours to see what someone would say.  I thought to google it [I've found that if you google your question as a question, you know, like you'd ask someone, you invariably get what you're looking for] and spent a goodly part of the afternoon reading about things I didn't know -- thus my response.  wink

BTW you've some nice photographs on your blog...

well, I was really. I think I agree with it on the whole, but I heard a story long ago about a bunch of drunks who came out of the bar they'd  spent the evening at to find a boat tied up by the river. "Let's take a trip" they said, jumped in and started paddling and paddling. Sun started to come up - "hey, where have we got to?" But when it got light they saw they were still in exactly the same place. They'd forgotten to untie the boat. roll Moral was something about Right Effort.

BTW you've some nice photographs on your blog...

Thanks!

Turn around, we're on the downwards side.  Why do you think it's so easy walking.

I laughed like hell with the link.  I especially like "I'm this many "1" X 60" button  lol

So that means one huh!!!! I've been wrong all these years.

Re: The Official #! Over-the-Hill-CrunchGang Thread

I bought some Centrum Multi-Vitamins for Seniors recently.  How come the tablets are 'gray' ?  What are they trying to tell us?

And, if you get the Senior Discount at some Buffet-style restaurants . . . the Senior Discount is only $.40 . . . 40 'freakin' cents !!

My mother always, told me:  not to get old ... "you won't like it"
