Until now only had an issue on AAO because Ubuntu's kernel 2.6.27.11 killed my ethernet, but it's a bug, just went back to 2.6.27.10. After a while I just removed most of the previous config like nautilus, gnome-stuff, etc.
On AAO i'm getting now a 40s boot from power to desktop (auto login on gdm).

From another point of view, on both my computers I installed #! by the alternate install with a working ubuntu, and it worked really well without changing any configurations or drivers installed.

It's my name, plain and simple!;)

Like Nik_Doof is my laptop, I use my AAO for everything. The other laptop is just my desktop replacer at home.

Sorry about my first post ot you!;)
Do you have composite enabled?
And the config of pypanel? on properties? Do you have enabled the "Reserve space, and not covered by maximized windows"?

Just try Alt+right mouse button and move the windows down.
Works for me on Aspire One.

I believe that you have to edit rc.xml or something like that (I'm not on #! right now) but on menu there is one item that you can edit openbox configurations, there you can change keymaps. I dit it for portuguese and I saw it for en-US.

I'm a math teacher from Portugal and a linux user since 2004, mainly Ubuntu.
But I bougth a Aspire One a in a quest to find the perfect OS for me, found recently Cunchbang.
That's no my first ride on openbox, but the best ride and I loved what you did with it. For me it's great when a SO "get's out of the way" a I can control my machine and just use it.
#! Crunchbang is the right one for me... and the community is great!
