Oops, that was clumsy! sad

You boys are so naughty! lol

^^ Philip won't be back at work until Tuesday to answer your plea! smile

^^ Too funny, I want one! lol

Philip will post about how the hangout went and the topics discussed when he returns to work on Tuesday.  He is currently on holiday enjoying his New Years Eve with the family! big_smile

Happy New Year guys, this thread is now closed - but the January 2012 thread has been opened!

Happy New Year to you all! Let's start off 2012 with a bang, so get posting your new wallpapers/conky's etc.  Thank you all for making these monthly screenshot threads so popular during 2011; I hope that we can continue the good work throughout 2012.

Cheers

Becky

Please continue to use thumbnails (please try to avoid the large thumbnail imgur.com code) linking to the larger image to help those of us with slow connections. An example of the code needed is below. Most image hosting sites will automatically generate this for you as well. I've been using postimage.org lately which does a nice job.

I just play the piano regularly now, but when I was at school I learnt the tenor & descant recorder, and the clarinet. We've just bought our daughter a guitar for Christmas, so I guess I will probably end up learning chords and strumming patterns on that too!  I love music.

A belated Happy Christmas to everyone one from Philip and I. Hope you all have a great New Year too! x

^ Is that the error bobobex is referring to?  Flip flop of Xfce and OB?

Have not listened yet...

Correct - on the podcast he talked about dropping OB for the not so popular Xfce version. He soon saw the light! lol

Were they outdoors when they were having the interview? I can hear lots of wind noises to the mircophone.

Yes, we were recorded outside whilst having our lunch on the cafe terrace at The Farham Maltings.

Want to know how CrunchBang Linux all started?  Want to hear me and Philip talk about how awesome the CrunchBang community is?  Then you must check out Hacker Public Radio, episode 0873

We recorded this with Ken Fallon of HPR at OggCamp 11, in August. Can you spot the glaring error? lol

Philip is not allowed to spend any donation money on beer; you can all rest assured that it all gets ploughed back into the project to keep CrunchBang fresh, innovative and growing!

His beer funding comes from me, and I have to go out to work Monday to Friday from 7:30am to 6:00pm to pay for it! lol

Thank you omns, for making that small edit to the bottom of your blog post and then totally removing said blog post so that this thread no longer makes any sense or can be read in context! You should have the courage of your convictions and stand by what you write, as I have previously said to you before.

You have been a fantastic advocate for CrunchBang and a complete asset to the project as a moderator, so I am sorry to see you go like this. I wish you the best for any future endeavours. smile

Dear Last_GUNSLINGER - there is no need to double post your question on these forums. I am locking this thread - the forum users can reply on the other thread that I created for you.

Also, corenominal, why want you to move crunchbang to crunchbang.org? Current crunchbanglinux.org is alright, it works and looks good!

This is a work in progress for Philip and means that he can develop the new site (which has a shorter domain name!) in parallel with this site, without any major impact on the users.

Hey, thanks smile My apologies for not being around much, but in my defence, I have been quite busy. Also, it did cross my mind to put a post in the introductions forum big_smile

Sorry, who are you?! lol

Please check this post for details on the latest Statler release - there's been an upgrade! smile

Get it whilst it is hot off the press - it's smokin'! big_smile

Papanominal & Papanom - these are excellent terms of endearment for my nearest & dearest. I may have to start using them at home - he is usually just called "love"! lol

Hey guys, thanks for this thread and the donations. As you will have seen, Philip is setting up a new CrunchBang website and I've been nagging him like mad to get his backside on here to explain more about what he's doing and the direction that he wants to take CrunchBang in, but he's just really busy at the moment doing it!  big_smile

He will be on here soon to explain all soon - he has promised me!

Maths, English, and PE/games were my favourite subjects at school. Oh, and Geography but only because it was taught by Mr Williams who was a hotty!
