Maybe I am a bit spoiled: most concerts I visit are just a short bicycle ride away. Wish your friend a good Blast, I hope it's successful!
yeah i totally get it, it's the same for me.

No, I'm afraid it's a bit too far away. It looks like a great line-up! Are you going?
^ DAF = great BTW. I still have Alles ist Gut on vinyl

Bach Concertos played by Hilary Hahn
Since i grew tired with tinkering i settled with the Ubuntu LTS, until recently several crashes started happening on a regular basis.
Yesterday i installed statler, today i installed the liquorix kernel and the newest nVidia driver via smxi and figured out how to undervolt the cpu, temperature dropped by 33°.
I'm happy to be on a Debian base now, a big THANK YOU to Corenominal for your outstanding work.
liquorix has linux-phc built in, with that you can undervolt your cpu to lower temperatures which results in lower noise from the fans
the two last books i read were "Healing the shame that binds you" by John Bradshaw and
"King, Warrior, Magician, Lover - Rediscovering The Archetypes of The Mature Masculine" by Robert Moore
i recommend them both to everyone interested in psychology, best books i read on the topic, loads of valuable insights
close to finishing "The warrior within" by Moore
with the liquorix kernel you could employ linux-phc to undevolt your cpu. this would lower temperatures and fan noise too
that would make a nice wallpaper, (i like leafy wallpapers
+1
the diary of fake steve jobs
thats why i undevolted my cpu with linux phc. cpu runs cooler fan much quieter less noise.
and thats the reason why i'm still on ubuntu, it's easy with the phc-ppa.
for statler or other debiansystems you could use the liquorixkernel
you can easily obtain the correct voltages under windows with rmclock
