Re: New Logout Script with Hibernate & Suspend Options

I needed to install oblogout in order to get the suspend button to work. However the laptop does not suspend itself when I close the lid. Usually, it goes to sleep as soon as I close it but I lost this function when I installed crunchbang. Does anyone know how to get it back? I have a HP/Compaq NC8000

^ You should be able to set this in Preferences >> Screensaver & Power Management.

while ( ! ( succeed = try() ) );

Re: New Logout Script with Hibernate & Suspend Options

Thanks, I already adjusted these parameters but it didn't help at all. It's as if Linux did not detect the closure of the lid.

Re: New Logout Script with Hibernate & Suspend Options

Hi

Tested the new script on my FSC S7110. Neither the hibernate nor the suspend button cause any action.
The dialogue windows just sits there - shutdown & reboot & logoff work same like before.

Regards

If the script doesn't work, you need to install oblogout "sudo apt-get install oblogout". That was discussed before.

Re: New Logout Script with Hibernate & Suspend Options

Sorry - no change - hibernate & suspend still non functional ..

Re: New Logout Script with Hibernate & Suspend Options

mine isn't working either. I tried to install oblogout "sudo apt-get install oblogout" but i get

E: Unable to locate package oblogout

Where did it go?

Bump, same error as donricouga.

My suspend is working from the power manager, just not from the Exit menu
