Re: My tintrc file

Great idea for a thread. tint can be styled in an infinite number of ways, so it would be good to see some different examples and set-ups. Nice work. Regarding your tint set-up above, I really like it. It is simple and effective, it also works very well with your wallpaper. Good stuff! smile

Re: My tintrc file

What a great idea big_smile I don't know much about tint but assumed that this sort of configuration would be possible.

Re: My tintrc file

The original tintc file with the 'lite' version didn't seem to be working or wasn't displaying anything, I didn't bother to look, but tried out Machina's tintc file and it displays nice tintc rectangle with time and date...very nice...thanks.

Re: My tintrc file

^^ Wow! ^^ That is one awesome looking desktop. smile

Re: My tintrc file

A tint, lxpanel and trayer combo. Basically the lxpanel is only 24 pixels wide and tint is aligned right and 24 pixels less in width than the full screen. Tint is the same as post above except for the width setting.

Re: My tintrc file

I like that omns, the right combination can make a lovely looking desktop, could even add a mac-like app launcher for a real showstopper smile  good work!

hmm, I don't think I'd ever go that far, but thank you for your kind words.

Re: My tintrc file

Omns 3 hit combo. awesome idea =p

I was considering use wbar as application launcher, to get a little bit of the look and feel on macs. But then I realize that I dont need one with dmenu and the very own openbox menu.

Looks like this:

I miss this effect: http://fc43.deviantart.com/fs26/f/2008/ … nnaPai.png , just the bottom-border.

Re: My tintrc file

This is a fantastic thread, thanks!  I'm not very good at perfecting these kinds of things, but has anyone come up with a good-looking vertical tint panel (ie to go along the left side of the screen)?

Is that possible? How to make it vertical?

Re: My tintrc file

So is this new tint thing going to replace the craze over conky scripts? LOLOL lol

Re: My tintrc file

hmm, seems we have two tint2 config threads. My apologies for that. I'm going to close this one and refer you to the current sticky.
