Quite impressive, but a couple of problems for me, running 0.2.1:
1. Location only works at top or bottom. If I try to put it on sides it disappears.
2. Menu (set for desktop mode) only shows the 'System Tools' menu. Interestingly, there are a couple of duplicate entries in this. All other categories/apps are missing. Everything gets loaded fine with lxpanel.
Keep it up--there's a lot of potential here.
Very nice panel ADcomp...BTW, is there an autohide & transparent function for cbpanel? How can this be applied. Thanks so much..
Hello .. Thanks for your feedback

left / right position isn't ready yet ..
2. Menu (set for desktop mode) only shows the 'System Tools' menu. Interestingly, there are a couple of duplicate entries in this. All other categories/apps are missing. Everything gets loaded fine with lxpanel.
I have same issue on my netbook. I don't know why , It works fine on my desktop .. I need to find a workaround.
The code for "menu" isn't very good ... Also I'm working on a "new" menu , something more "Eye's candy" and less bugggy
Unfortunately, I've been unable to work on it for sometime .. I need more than 24h in a day !! ![]()

Thanks .. You can set "autohide" in ' Settings ' => ' Position '
& transparent function for cbpanel?
No transparent ( ala Tint2 ) yet ... I have to rewrite " WindowList " ( and maybe "Systray" ) code before this !
Bye ..

I'm sorry I overlooked the autohide option..::D
I'm very eager to be using your new and improved versions. Anyhow, cbpanel is still what I am using now. Thanks ADcomp.
And I am also using a netbook, and having same issues with missing items in the main menu.
I have a simple suggestion.
After clicking on the panel-terminal icon, could focus be placed in the terminal window instead of having to click on it before typing anything.
Thanks.
@chytraeus : Can you tell me more ? Where is the problem ?
@taintedsushi:
3. When you open the web search, terminal, calendar, or preferences, the only way to close them is to click the button again. It would be nice if clicking the desktop or panel would close them.
some buggy stuff ( like focus ) with them .. working on
Bye ..
I just installed cbpanel and it is great!!
It is exactly what I was looking for in a panel. I'm looking forward to future releases with some additional features and settings, etc. But right now it's better than lxpanel and every other panel I tried. Good work!
Thanks agktmte .. you're welcome ![]()
This project need some improvement but at this time , I can't do it .. So wait and see.
Hi,
I've just installed CBpanel, as I was fed up with Tint2, and it's a really niiiiiiiiiiice job !
Merci pour le boulot ADcomp, c'est du tout bon ^^
@ADcomp
I love your apps, however since #! is all about speed and being lightweight, have you considered trying to write your apps in c?
[..] have you considered trying to write your apps in c?
no .. last time I write something in C .. at least 10 years ago ![]()
I love python because I can do really quick hack and it' can (often) run on many platform ( x86 , arm , .. ) without change.
C requires more attention and time ( and I don't have
)
I agree with you adcomp, I'm learning java for school now. It seems like you have to change how you work to match the language. With python it just seems like the language works for you. For most of the apps that are made for #! on the forums it wouldn't make a noticeable difference between python and C anyway.
Just wondering if this is still getting worked on at all?

+1
I've been using #! for a few weeks now and love it. What made me decide to install it was the Crunch Bang Panel. It is exactly what I wanted, a lightweight panel that lets me use the openbox menu (if you install xdotool first, which took me a while to figure out) and that provided a way to easily add a program launcher as well as customize the clock.
Anyway, the only thing I have a problem with is the calendar. I'm used to seeing Sundays on the left hand side of the calendar as the first day of the week. It threw me off and I ended up putting the wrong dates in a document that goes out to hundreds of people.
It's not so bad that I'll stop using cbpanel, but if I could fix it I would have a few hundred people that wouldn't be as confused.
Is there a way to change that?
thanks.
While I like tint2 ... I have tried about every other panel in all the repositories and internets.
I am really liking this #! panel
Good job to the Developer of it.
I'll keep testing this #!Panel, and I'll let you know if I have any suggestions or comments.
I like what I've seen, so far. ![]()
Is it a bug?
With Iceweasel and systray plugin, when I change theme of Cbpanel, it closes Icewasel completely....
Hello AD.
I installed the latest deb for cbpanel, but I seem to be missing the tasklist ![]()
Other than that it works fine
@Mark76 - Make sure you have python-gnome2-desktop installed.
I do.
This is what my panel looks like

Try running this command, then restart cbpanel:
sudo cp /usr/lib/python-support/python-gnome2-desktop/python2.5/gtk-2.0/wnck.so /usr/share/cbpanel/wnck.soDeb of version 0.3 can be found here
