I frequent the majority of the ones already listed and also enjoy this one:
It's more of a wallpaper aggregator from other great sites, but it's led me to a few very good wallpaper sites (like Vlad Studio) as well.

In all seriousness 4chan's /wg/ has a huge selection and its where I got most of my wallpapers.
But places like gnome-look/kde-look and Deviant Art are also great

i really like group-site like deviant or gnome-look but there is one artist that match so mch with crunchbang: lemonade. 123 walls album on his website, very minimalist and simple. link: http://profesorul09.webs.com/apps/photos/

i'm surprised noones linked 4chan. if you stay away from the horrible-ness of some of the imageboards and go strictly to /wg/ i think you guys would be pleased at what you found there.

I didn't 'link' to 4chan /wg/ because of the serious NSFW part, but it is an amazing source.
just found this one, it's pretty decent. walls are grouped by type which is a nice feature:
