Re: My tint2 config

I still have mine at the default settings, but with 4 workstations.  I like it well enough.  Good job with the design corenomical.  smile

I'm glad this thread is here, though, in case I get the itch to be creative with my panel...

im not 100% on this but im pretty sure that putting the SYSTRAYBAR before the TASKS commands will work. if thats what you mean by putting it on the bottom side.

Yes that is what I mean. I have systray at the top on my panel now. I would like it to be at the bottom.

i didnt know that, thanks for telling me. i think a work around could be opening up two tint2's and having one for system tray and one for tasks; system tray placed at the bottom and tasks at the top. im not that familiar with tint2 so i'm not sure that having two tint2's can even be done.

Re: My tint2 config

You're welcome tunafish smile

What I forgot to say about this: the panels are fixed width for my screen resolution (1024px wide). That means, that the 2 tint2 panels always have the same width, no matter what. The problem is that when I have 4 or less systray icons, I have unused space. If I have more than 5 icons in the systray, you won't see number 6 and above.

It works for me, but it's not a great solution and I hope the tint2 developer(s) come with an built-in solution to order the things.

Re: My tint2 config

^ that's a clever use of panels and borders. That is, I hope it was intended to look that way smile the border effect is not visible in the screenie up there or at least I didn't see it.
Otherwise, borrowed a couple of ideas, thanks for the conf.

Iirc, it was originally based on one I found in this thread but has been tweaked quite a bit.

It's very transparent and only really works on dark wallpapers with minimal patterns but fits in with my theme very well.

Cheers
