Re: Design a CrunchBang Linux Sticker
And this is how final work looks like.
I've made other variants and i'll post them if needed.
Yeah, just google for eisernes kreuz and you get lots of those: .

That looks quite cool soderstrom.
That looks quite cool soderstrom.
Thanks! But hopefully someone who knows illustrator/Inkscape can make a better version ![]()
It's been a long time since the last sticker has been posted. So, I took care of simplicity as a concept. Here is mine with a transparent background. I hope you like it. ![]()

Khaled you are really a tremendous artist!
I've made one too. Very simple for #! Statler. I didn't make it with Vector or Gimp, so it isn't perfect; but I've worked the proportions with the Golden Ratio. ![]()

^ Nice! Do you think the 10 should be one unit taller to match the #! ?

---Yes, I´ll fix that. Thanks.
@bastiano - Looks very nice; if it was vectorized then it'd be perfect ![]()
I've been learning a bit how to use Inkscape to fix and vectorize my drawing. It was made all on base of the square, but then the number 10 came smaller than the #! logo. Then to match the 10 with the #!, it becomes a vertical rectangle.

So, as a second possibility to keep somehow the format of the square I did a small trick with the number 0. Tell me wich of both versions you like.

What if you make the "1" just a straight vertical line and make the "0" wider?
^ Yes, I thought that too. But I didn't know if making so many versions, I'll make it now.
@anonymous You are right. I this is the simplest solution.

nice bastiano, I'm gonna print a sheet of these out and put them on my gear
^ Thank you
Great images!!
Real nice. If you wanted to you could put "Statler" in the middle of the zero. Don't know if it would look good like that though.
@anonymous You are right. I this is the simplest solution.
I preferred the second version - it had some really nice vertical lines running all the way down (look at the way the 1 and the 0 line up with the two bars of the hash). When you get rid of those it loses impact for me, but that's just IMHO of course ![]()
I was just playing around, and came up wth these. http://jims2011.blogspot.com/2011/03/pl
logos.html Nowhere near as good as some of the rest here, but... ![]()

Hi, thanks! What you say was my first idea, I was looking at how the lines run together at the moment of drawing it, but then simplifying the "1" it also gains some elegant simplicity (anonymous is right too). So you can choose between the two versions plus your freedom for making any modification to it ![]()

I think you should place the "High speed, low drag." text horizontally underneath, or in replacement of, "CrunchBang Linux". Having the text slanted makes for awkward reading.
@akaned: That's dirty! ![]()
My effort:
Just a bitmap converted to PNG. Easy to reproduce in vector, I reckon. Hope you like
