Philip,

Thank you for including my blog on the Planet, but I blog about more than Linux and stuff of interest to most folks. I also, on occasion, blog about Christian theology and put devotional stuff in my blog. More than one person has commented that they find it offensive, but I do not intend to (nor should I have to) change what I blog about, nor to stop writing devotional and bible study stuff.

Perhaps it would be best if you removed Robin's rants and Raves from the Planet so as not to offend people who expect to find feeds there about Linux, Crunchbang, etc. While I have written very frequently about those things, my blog also includes the other stuff, and I would be disappointed to see folks unsubscribe from your feed because of me.

I appreciate your kindness in adding it, perhaps I was wrong to ask, given the mixed nature of my blog.

Very respectfully,
Robin

Hello Robin smile

Please reconsider. The planet is not just for posts regarding CrunchBang and Linux, it is supposed to be a:

A window into the world, work and lives of CrunchBang Linux users, hackers and contributors.

Personally, I am not a man of faith, but I have the utmost respect for those that are and I like to keep my mind open to all possibilities. If the person that complained feels that they must delete their subscription to the planet, then so be it. It is not a problem. smile

If after reading this, you still wish to have your blog removed from the planet, then please let me know and I will do the necessaries, though hopefully you will reconsider and remain with the collective. smile

I think you might just have enough material to scrape in. big_smile

I am not working on the system which holds the planet files right now, so if I do not add your blog later tonight, please feel free to give me a virtual poke. wink

Re: Planet CrunchBang Linux

Philip, you're awesome!

Leave it where it is, then, with my gratitude and appreciation. I don't know why an occasional bible study post would offend anyone, nor why they would drop a subscription to such an insightful feed as the Planet over something they can simply ignore.

I don't blog often about that stuff, but "armchair theology" is one of the most meaningful things I explore and write about. I hope no one objects to an occasional blog about percussive dance, either! But if it bothers anyone, they can just scroll down. No big deal.

Thanks, Philip!

happy to be a part of the Planet,
Robin

Re: Planet CrunchBang Linux

Hi folks,

I haven't any account for writing blogs. Do I have a chance to share the #!-PLANET with my #!-FORUM-Account?

Re: Planet CrunchBang Linux

If this is still running corenominal I would be interested. It is my personal blog but I do post a few related things. I also added a link to the main crunchbang page on my sidebar. I didn't start the blog long ago though so it isn't packed...yet lol and I am sure I could post more about linux apps and crunchbang in the future.

My avi and nick would stay the same.

Re: Planet CrunchBang Linux

Hi Corenominal smile

I have recently started my technical blog and intend to write mostly about Linux(CrunchBang), teaching and programming.

If you are still considering adding blogs to Planet, please have a look at my blog @ http://animeshlog.blogspot.com. If you think it fits the bill, please add it to the Planet.

Re: Planet CrunchBang Linux

Disregard my request. I have gone through the blogs in PLANET and found that most users are advanced users. Here I am just starting out with CrunchBang, so I will not have content upto the level of other users.

smile

Re: Planet CrunchBang Linux

schemer -- I think you should reconsider. I don't think you have to be an advanced user to have a blog on the Planet. I think you just have to write about CrunchBang.

Re: Planet CrunchBang Linux

@schemer; I agree with Icafiero, you got to remember that all readers not are advanced either. It is more important how you write. If it is well written, then it is worth reading. Planet #! is "A window into the world, work and lives of CrunchBang Linux users hackers and contributors". If you can hold a chain of thoughts
ten sentences long you are probably qualified. Personally I go more for the gold fish three sentences thought chains and therefore I do not blog. Did try, deleted! lol

#!, all else is but a shadow!

If you say so, I will definitely reconsider!

:-)

Thank you all for being so welcoming. It is really inspiring to me.
