@Him:
When you extract the .zip/.tar file you should see a folder with the title of the theme (I'll use MetroSensual as an example), a tint2rc, a wallpaper archive/folder, a details.txt and a .fonts.conf , right?
Just copy the folder titled MetroSensual over to the .themes folder in your home directory (press Ctrl+h in your file manager to view hidden folders/files). You don't have to separate the GTK and the openbox3 folders, just keep them together inside the MetroSensual one.
Then use obconf (I think it's under "Preferences -> OpenBox -> GUI Config" in Crunchbang... not 100%sure, since I'm on Sidux and my menu labels are slightly different) / or press Alt+f2 and type "obconf".
Once it loads, you should be able to scroll up/down the themes list to find MetroSensual.
I'm a bit scatterbrained and tired right now, so I hope my explanation was clear enough (I suck at explaining stuff) >__<
Hope this helps.
Cheers
Edit:
You probably know this already since you said you managed to get the GTK to work, but I'll explain just in case....
If I remember correctly, the archive tool in PCManFM (the file manager that comes with #! 9.04, if you're using that one) doesn't support drag and drop. If that's the case, extract all the contents of the .zip/.tar into a temporary folder, and then copy and paste only the MetroSensual folder into the .themes one.
