So you want me to go grey again?!... Make up your mind, dammit!! tongue

Well, between gray&black and red (redish) there is a full rainbow of colors wink

I'm just joking, I really like your setups.

Have a nice sunday - all of you #!-gers - mine is working one, have to catch up with some "i'll do it tomorrow, I'll have a free day" work.

Re: March 2010 Screenshot Thread

I don't get what you guys mean by the standard them? I use AbsE for my windows. As for the rest, I've not found a way to change it all much.

I'd like to modify the applet taskbar at the bottom right, border it just to make it look cleaner. But I've not found where to edit this.

EDIT: I found the tint2 file to edit, working on finding the right options now...

Re: March 2010 Screenshot Thread

@Pierre
There are many great variations of the tint2 panel posted in the "My tint2 config" thread of the Tips, Tricks & Scripts section of the forum... why not try some of those?

If you're still having problems, you can always post for help. smile
Cheers.

Thanks!

After this sunday I have my new personal record - 6 press releases in one day... (previous was 4) wink

I see blue - color of hope again smile Nice!

What is your base now, gutterslob (arch, debian, #!)?

Re: March 2010 Screenshot Thread

That is nice gutterslob

I have just seen a nice idea on the arch forums, the guy made a much better job than me but here is mine.

You tell tint2 to be about 75% from top left, then you place conky in the remaining space.

He had a very nice lua conky but I have gone for a minimal text one.

There is much more info in the conky than you can see. I have minor changes in colour to show stuff going on. e.g. the asterisk between the two cpu values changes colour due to cpu temperature and the // and \\ change colours due to net activity.

anyway...

I always liked vertical panels -looking good Tawan!

Re: March 2010 Screenshot Thread

@tawan
I think I've seen someone here use that vert panel + conky setup before (can't recall who, unfortunately)
It's a nice setup. smile

@klanger
I'm on Debian (used to be Squeeze, then Sid, now I'm using sidux)
Still waiting for you to make your own BSD-Bang live CD for me tongue

Yes I keep ADesklauncher to my left(version0.1.7.3 mind you since 0.1.7.4 was not to my liking at all.), Tint2 at the bottom and a minimal conky at the top(used only for mail notification as of now).
That's about all that fits on my 1024x600 screen! big_smile

It wasn't that one (I'd definitely remember if it was Zwopper big_smile )

I'll do a search later.... I think it was from last month's screenshot thread.

^^I just meant you have a very catchy nick, Zwopper.
Don't misunderstand.... I like you, but not that way tongue

Found the example I was talking about, but it's not exactly the same as Tawan's, though.

My current tint2 layout doesn't seem to work with this style of wallpaper...... need to do some thinking before my next screenshot.

Conky: Mira by ~sen7, modded
Wallpaper: Alter Bridge
Tint: Modded (can be provided upon request)

By the way, if you guys noticed, I'm using Rhythmbox there, and had to mod the original conky as it applies for mpd only. Can anyone fix that for me?
conky_mpd (yes i got lazy to change it)
conkyRhythmbox2.template

Pretty please?

Debian Sid, Openbox, BMpanel2, Thunar, VLC, urxvt.

Working on a theme for Openbox and GTK called Crop Circles based on the wallpaper (bit slow going though neutral).  Used azenis as the base for it...

@p0rksh3d
Nice work, brother!!
How's Carbonix progressing? (the github link in your sig seems dead, btw)
You seem to still be on the older ARCH kernel?.... problems with 2.6.32?

@jpope
Warm indeed...
Nice work, like always

@jelloir
Really nice work.... be sure to keep us updated on the themes.
Funky wallpaper as well....
Reminds me of this one I made some time ago (wasn't thinking of crop-circles when I made it, though).... never used it before this cos the KDE buggers were giving me stick for it looking like a a bespin design (or something like that)...
