It did not work for me.
I tried again using the instructions I wrote on the wiki and it worked. I will do some more testing and try to come up with a better solution.
The problem is corenomial, its not that your instructions don't work, its that they aren't even applicable to the screens I see.
Perhaps you could take photos of the install process, or run it in VirtualBox, and take screencaps that way?
Unless i'm completely thick, there isn't the option to do what you suggest.
On related note, my cd worked, so I just used that to install #! 10.
Working nicely, except my wireless is slightly flaky (when it first tries to connect, i have to cancel that, then get it to try again for it to work), and my graphics aren't recognized (1680x1050 monitor running at 1100xsomething or other), but thats to be expected on my very-new hardware.
