Topic: cruncheee

So far I'm just running my eeepc 901 from a usb stick using cruncheee.  Looks brilliant!
Wireless works!
How do I connect up a bluetooth mouse?
There does not appear to be any office stuff on this live version (it was on the full version).  Can I install open office once I have installed cruncheee to the hard drive?
Thanks
Mike

Re: cruncheee

I believe Crunchee is the same as #! lite, in as much as they both have Abiword and Gnumeric? I may be wrong.

And welcome, mfhanratty! big_smile

Yes, you are wrong. big_smile A list of installed applications for CrunchEee can be found at:  http://crunchbanglinux.org/wiki/applica … pc_edition

Hello Mike smile

Please see the following forum post for Bluetooth advice: http://crunchbanglinux.org/forums/topic … bluetooth/

Regarding the office stuff, by default CrunchEee does not come with any office applications. There is a good guide on the forums about installing the latest version of OpenOffice.org, it can be found at: http://crunchbanglinux.org/forums/topic … eorg-debs/

Hope this helps and welcome to the forums! smile

Tough being me sometimes ;_;

I'll bear that in mind, in case I ever manage to convince my dad to let me wipe xandros *shudders* off his EEE.

Maybe you put Crunchee on a cheapo SD-Card at first. That´s what I did. Then Crunchee itself  convinced me to ditch fluxflux as well as WinXP... cool

Re: cruncheee

Installed cruncheee 8.10.02 yesterday, bloody hell, this thing rocks!

Crunchee 8.10.01 was good, but this is another level, absolutely seamless.

Everything I tried worked straight off, from wireless, sound, User keys, suspend.  And all done in 1.5 GB!

The only, tiny fly in the ointment is that pressing the poser button shuts down the system, rather than prompting, as I've set in the eee control thing.  I know it's a small thing, but when everything else works so good, it's the small thing that gets noticed... smile

If anybody has this issue and has fixed, I'd love to know the solution.

Thanks,

Shaq
