Topic: Smoke, ob / gtk / tint2 / pidgin theme based on Steam
Direct download page: http://smoke.photosphere.nl
This is a theme for:
# GTK2+
# Openbox3
# Xfwm
# Tint2
# Pidgin
# Nitrogen (well, only the wallpaper actually, but I use nitrogen on my system)
# Volwheel.
At the moment it's version 0.6 already, There aren't beta's or anything, so there's also no warranty that you like it or that it looks like it should. I am willing to fix reported problems like things that aren't readable (dark font on dark background that I have missed somewhere for example), also stuff like enhancements so it looks even more like the original gui are also welcome.
"But Andreas, why would you want to make something look like a filthy proprietary DRM-heaven for games on the nasty systems like Windows and Mac OS X?"
The answer to that is: Well, because I can
And I like the look of it. It's just for fun and won't be professional like the Murrine theme engine.
Some guidelines to make everything look more like they should:
# Included since 0.6
# Icons are ACYL (link) Color is a vertical gradient, from #c0c4bb (top) to #a1a59e (bottom). Although I would like it if I could make an whole icon theme based on the original. What would be even nicer that they would get another color (a type of yellow) when you went over it with your mouse.
# Included since 0.6
# Fonts are what I believe to be edited Arial's (fonts)
# I had a xcompmgr config somewhere so the shadows came more closely to what is looks like in Windows, only problem is that everything will get a shadow, not only the menu's.
If there are any other questions, just ask them and leave some feedback if you want ![]()

And the current download for everything is smoke_0.6.tar.gz
