We are The Over-the-Hill-CrunchGang, also known as OHCG or OHCG'ers

Lets face it for a cabbage 60 is unthinkable, for a mountain it isn't even birth pains but for a human it's just right.  smile

Please feel free to support us for our search for the "Fountain of Eternal Over the Hill" because we have seen youth while climbing to the top and prefer the other side of the hill.

After all, at our age our forgetters are getting better while everything else is shutting down, falling off or going grey!

Okay, I'm not a member, nor am I eligible (I'm 26), but I remember some of the things you're talking about so for fun here's the small list of old timey stuff I remember from my childhood and recently.

Candy cigarettes- (My grandma always bought me candy cigs when she'd buy her real ones....... and I wonder why I smoke)
Wax coke-shaped bottles with colored sugar water inside
Soda pop machines that dispensed glass bottles
Coffee shops with tableside juke boxes- (Okay not a coffe shop, but where I grew up we had an old pharmacy/ soda fountain and there's a local owned restaurant that has them to this day!)
Blackjack, Clove and Teaberry chewing gum- (Does Cracker Barrel carrying this stuff count?)

I was in college during the 1970's and one night went to a drive-in with the guy who roomed next door.  He was a military brat who had grown up in Euorpe.  We sat there, on the hood of my car munching popcorn and out of the blue he said so this is a drive-in.  I've seen them in the movies!  lol

Safeway you say!!!!  My, I have not seen a Safeway in ... years!  They were "the" place for groceries when I was a kid in western Canada.  They aren't in eastern Canada.  Boy talk about memories, Thank you.

Hahahahaha that's great!  I really enjoyed drive-ins.  There was something special about them.  As a kid in the back seat we would usually eat our popcorn and  fall asleep.  As a young man it was ... ummmm... errrr ... see definition below and as a married man to watch the movies.  lol

Defination of a drive-in:  Wall to wall car petting!

WoW!  I have to admit I know Jimmy Dean but had to look up the Muppet and since I did I will not give away the answer.

However a teaser....

Xxxxx was built in 1962 for Purina Dog Chow commercials, in which he appeared with Baskerville the Hound. Jim Henson designed Xxxxx, and Don Sahlin built him; it was Sahlin's first muppet construction.

Xxxxx rose to popularity as Jimmy Dean's sidekick on The Jimmy Dean Show. He was the first Muppet with a regular spot on network television appearing in many episodes from 1963 to 1966. Jimmy Dean stated that the segments with Xxxxx were one of the most popular parts of the show, and that Xxxxx drew two thousand fan letters a week.
