Desktop 2 w/ fullscreen terminator.  It's so nifty and makes working on ruby/butler a ton easier.

dannytatom: I've got a tips for you:

Press T in mocp, so you can change theme to some more fitting, not so colorful theme. smile

8.10.01 on my Dell Mini 9. Replaced lxpanel with pypanel, simplified conky (cpu red, ram blue, bolt is battery). Will remove the shortcuts listed once they're committed to memory wink

Re: #! CrunchBang Linux Desktop Screenshots

A fairly standard desktop, with a customized .conkyrc (although minimalistic compared to some others I've seen here)
http://wtf.homelinux.org/2009-02-01--1233537306_1280x800_scrot.png

And, the terminator multiplexer with htop, mplayer (the sans gui version), standard bash, and irssi.
http://wtf.homelinux.org/2009-02-01--1233537668_1280x800_scrot.png

The wallpaper is custom-made in gimp (I didn't think it was good enough to compete with the artist's wallpapers, so I didn't post it here, but I will if someone asks.  smile)

Edit: updated links

^Me too big_smile (it's from this theme originally: http://www.box-look.org/content/show.ph … nt=95927). I tested different patterns but it was really difficult to find perfect one.

Re: #! CrunchBang Linux Desktop Screenshots

Hi people new to #!CB and lovin it, I wanted to post a screenshot of my AA0, and then... hmmm.... I could not figure out how to do it. I know that is probably a bit of an stupid question but could anybody tell me how to load the pic pls. Cheers, take care

Re: #! CrunchBang Linux Desktop Screenshots

Once youve taken the screenshot, upload it to a image hosting site such as: Picoodle.com, Tinypic.com, or Zwixy.com

You can then post the forum code that the site gives you. Or you can just take the image url and put in the [img]and[/img] tags yourself.

Re: #! CrunchBang Linux Desktop Screenshots

My first CrunchBang Linux screenshot with my slightly custom conky, and fresh wallpaper.

Re: #! CrunchBang Linux Desktop Screenshots

Hello!

Something trivial.

http://www.osnanet.de/u.huelbrock/Crunch_wbar.jpg

Just put wbar on top of the screen. Most right icon is for killing lxpanel on the bottom, second right for starting the panel again...
Naturally Conky is still due for a change.

Wallpaper is from my last holidays in Crete. wink

Re: #! CrunchBang Linux Desktop Screenshots

yeah, I was gonna put wbar in my setup also, but after you familiarize yourself with the key shortcuts, it seems unnecessary.  It's just quicker to not use any launchers.  Like the scenic wallpaper there, too.

No way... sad

Horizon is as it is and it's beyond my abilities to change it!

All I might offer to reduce your pain is this: http://www.osnanet.de/u.huelbrock/Mythos.jpg

No. It has something to do with the polar ice caps and the earth's magnetic field switching over. I read about it on the internets. wink

Re: #! CrunchBang Linux Desktop Screenshots

It's not striaght. It's really hard to see, but use the line under "Shortcut keys" as a reference point.

Okay... You won!

But it has absolutely - and I mean absolutely! -  nothing to do with ice caps, magnets or internets...

It's due to that ole Mythos: http://www.osnanet.de/u.huelbrock/Mythos.jpg

Now to install tha GIMP for strightening... hmm

It was always straight, I don't know what you're talking about.  It's not HORIZONTAL, but it is straight.  big_smile
