Re: #! CrunchBang Linux Desktop Screenshots
Ahhh lxpanel.
I dont like this one since the transparency doesnt work 100% (editing the file manually works) and I cant choose the icons I want. Anyway, yours looks great XD

^^ I like it, clean and simple -- just like me ![]()
Here's what I've got going on, in case anyone is interested. Took some conky cues from fabsh and the rest of the gang:

Ok, I guess I finished setting up my desktop. There's not much difference from the other one I posted besides the conky config and the translated menu (that doesnt appear in the screenshot hehe)

With a little help from all the members here through their posts, I've come up with a desktop I'm very happy with. I made the background in Gimp using Kredit fonts.

Indeed, thanks for sharing ![]()
^^ Current desktop on my notebook. Wallpaper by omns courtesy of his new art package. Panel is a minimal tint2 configuration showing only icons for running tasks. System tray is trayer started with the following command:
trayer --expand true --transparent true --alpha 255 --edge bottom --align right --expand true --SetDockType true --widthtype request &P.S. The tint2 package has now been uploaded to the CrunchBang repository. I am testing this set-up for inclusion in the soon to come "Lite" edition.

lol
, that's my wallpaper at the moment as well ![]()
new wallpaper... made it myself, decided to go a little lighter.
^^ Awesome! This one is definitely going on the wiki. Nice work seth. ![]()
^^ Wow,
I really like that Seth, well done ![]()
Anyone have screenshots of CrunchBang Linux 8.10.01rc1 "Lite" Edition? I wanna see the panel/tray it uses.

My screenshot above is very similar to the panel/tray combination used in the current Lite release candidate. I am toying with the idea of adding a clock for the final build.
Update: Another screenshot available at: http://crunchbanglinux.org/forums/topic t2-trayer/
new setup again. this one has lasted all day so it might be a keeper!
with some windows running:
i'm afraid i might just go with a blank white wallpaper though. less distracting...
EDIT- damnit i forgot... conky wasn't running. same as i've had though. and i DID decide to go with the white wallpaper ![]()

2 day old CrunchBox user:
pypanel + modified conky.
Still have quite a bit of quirks to work out (xfce no longer changes themes, gtk does, some conflicts I guess...)
^^ Looking good knucks. I am liking the nifty wallpaper. BTW, welcome to the forums! ![]()
