ZeroTruths, I like your hostname ... I have named my PC's Entropy, Chaos, and Disorder
.
I'm very new to Crunchbang, but I'm liking it a lot.
Just getting my feet wet using Conk and Tint, here is my progress so far:
ETA I am so new to this distro that I accidently called it Crashbang in my original edit of this post. "Crash" is about the only thing that I haven't been able to do with it, and I am very, very good at breaking things...;)

I like that wallpaper a lot. May I ask where I can find it? ![]()

I agree, large images really slow down loading the new posts below them.
You are right. Sorry for my recent big images — I was lazy and just pasted the URL:s provided by Tinypic (sic!), which does not provide a thumbnail option (as far as I can see). Now I have been replacing my big images with links in this thread.
So, trying out Omploader this time:
The white background does not do justice to my white Tint2 border (see image 1), but otherwise Omploader seems really good & simple... except that actually it seems to cut a few pixels from the edges (see the Tint2 border in image 2).

I make thumbnails with tinypic, takes little extra time but makes life in the end easier. It has this photo editing thing.

Yes — as I said, I was lazy. Thanks for the tip, anyhow.
P.S. I made an addition to the right-hand conky's MPD section, featuring Junkohanhero's CKAS dingbat font (dafont.com):
$hr
${font Bitstream Vera Sans:style=Bold:size=9}Music Player Daemon: ${font Bitstream Vera Sans:size=7}
$hr
${color white}${if_running mpd}${mpd_smart}
Album: $mpd_album
Track: $mpd_track / $mpd_status $mpd_elapsed/$mpd_length $endif
$hr
${color9}${font CKAS:size=32}${alignc}${mpd_track}${font}That's to say that the CKAS dingbats change when the track changes (the 0 changes to 1 only when the track list reaches 10, of course).
P.P.S. Hmmm... No. 6 features Junkohanhero's website address — well, he really deserves the advertising.

Nicky wrote:kbang,
How did you do to remove the bar of Firefox to get only "Menu" ?
It's an addon called Tiny Menu. Then I put everything on the top bar via customize (everything I want, usually Foward/Back, reload, address bar, bookmarks and the little "busy" spinner). Then I untick the Navigation Bar and the Bookmarks Bar. To achieve an even more reduced top-bar I remove the names of the bookmarks and just leave the info for the favicons.
Since I am in Vista at the moment, here is how it looks on that and what I mean about the bookmarks:
This was originally used by chucky chuckaluck on the Ubuntu Forums and I just figured out how he did it, rather clever IMO.
Thanks to you and herall for the answears. I will maybe try something like that because on a eeepc each line you can avoid is good to take.

If you are good with using Vim or you have the confidence and patience needed to learn how to work with Vim, give Vimperator a look. It will give you more space (it is a Firefox addon). The same team that did Vimperator made something similar for Thunderbird and Songbird, if you are interested.
I never used Vim for instance but I will give a look to vimperator to see how it looks and same for thunderbird that I am using too.
I installed Crunchee for two weeks and for the moment I only played with conky, to put the weather, a mail and system updates alerts, things like that (thanks to the topic on this forum).
I'll attack the main menu and adeskbar.
...give Vimperator a look.
I agree, it's worth a look. ![]()
My current desk...distributing boredom with dwm and feh...
Wallpaper is from this photo by mandolux. Apps are dwm, feh, firefox, xterm, rox-filer and synaesthesia.
