I keep vacillating between maximal and minimalist setups; the latter's taken over for now.
The second pic has two conkys running- the only way to preserve the ability to right click anywhere on the screen with that setup.
Everything (theme, icons) is the #! 9.04 default.

Edit: The conky bars are battery and CPU, the text immediately below is the moc now-playing track. The #! text is part of the wallpaper.

lovely minimalistic!

Thanks!

The thing I like best about this setup is that when there's no music playing or when I'm not connected to the Internet, the relevant text in the Conky automatically disappears without leaving odd gaps or incomplete text forms:

With one out of four displays missing:
http://omploader.org/tMXFpZQ  http://omploader.org/tMXFpZg

So I can tell if I'm connected (and what I'm connected to) without Conky having to display anything.

That is an exceptional effort, if I were younger I would be all over that setup.

Exactly what is the bottom panels?  Is that 2 instances of tint2?  I am not sure how you managed whatever it is or how it would work.

In any case very nice and unique.  You should post that in the ubuntu may screenshots thread.

I view KDE like I view snow. It looks fun and marvelous, it's fun to play in, but after a while I just want someone to take it all away.

Re: #! CrunchBang Linux Desktop Screenshots

Thanks KBang,

That on the bottom is one instance of Tint2, but I set it up so that it shows the windows on both of my desktops for quick switching. It's quite handy.

I like it clean: tint2, trayer, and conky on the unofficial #! 9.04 ISO.

I guess we use linux (CentOS) here at the uni for research, so I figured I'd throw this up here.

It looks a whole lot like tint2.

PS: I think it goes really well with the wallpaper. Good work, OP.

The designer in me wants to say that's VAG Rounded Bold, but I may be wrong.

Yup, its tint2, best panel ever.
Font is LuzSans, used on HP Mini, deb pkg available here.

Would you be able to share your config for it? How do you find the systray in the latest svn build?
