Hey everyone,
I have recently stumbled upon #! crunchbang linux and I wanted to try it out because I like Ubuntu/Debian and I supposed that Openbox + Debian is amazingly fast with the same advantages.

Guess what ? I was right.

It is a distro which is well done.
It is pretty, fast , easy to use, powerful and based on debian... Who would want more from a linux distro ?

Also as far as I saw the community is great too.
I replaced ubuntu with it, I was dual booting ubuntu with Windows Xp, now I am dual booting with crunch and xp on a computer with an Intel Celeron 2.66 Ghz processor, 1 gb memory and a Geforce 6200 video card with 128 mb memory.
I like to use linux for PHP, Ruby on rails, C++, HTML/CSS coding.
What I dislike is the slow boot speed because of gdm I suppose, I think is the slowest display manager ever made.

Maybe I can contribute with something to the community, maybe with a logo or themes because I am a webdesigner mostly but I am also interested in programming useful C++ apps with web frontends for dedicated server owners.

About GDM, i do agree that is super slow, and i think we should replace it, but there are ways of removing it, and having no login manager if you would like.
