Topic: [solved - kind of] default menu.xml rc.xml

just installed the new alpha2. It looked so great from the live menu that I want to keep the default look. BUT! I have kept my old $HOME and hence all the themes etc.

How can I restorer the design to the default?

The files in

./etc/skel/.config/openbox/menu.xml

are all empty

and

./etc/xdg/openbox/menu.xml

seems to be the bare openbox defaults.

The menu with the easy dropbox and openoffice install is what crave the most right now.

Cheers.

EDIT: I decided to add solved [solved] to this post, as I will just do a complete install.

Re: [solved - kind of] default menu.xml rc.xml

you could boot up the live cd again and copy the files you want over to your hard drive
alternatively theres a package 'crunchbang-configs' which sounds like what you want.

thank you benj1. I actually think I will just back up, and do a complete install :-)

Cheers

I think the configs are available in /etc/skel/, no need to reinstall.

thank you anonymous - as I wrote - /etc/skel had the files - but with no contents... wierd. Especially since they showed up when I added a new user profile.. But I am good now - with a fresh install
