Topic: Crunchbang is amazing!

Hi,

Crunchbang is brilliant!
After years of using Ubuntu I had to remove it.
I don't like the way Ubuntu is going, since lucid it became bloated so my pc couldn't stand it anymore it overheated.
In lucid they added unneeded stuff and tons daemons and services are running. Why is evolution running when I don't ever use it? also bluetooth service is running I don't have any bluetooth.
I tried many alternatives searching for a light and fast os I found this Arch linux a good distro.
But then I found Crunchbang it's just amazing and very low on memory.
I wan't to thank the developers for making this nice os!

im feeling rthe same thing, got my deskie running 10.04 on dualmons.
Running Ubuntuone for sync and got some mediaplayers installed, ps3mediaserver and some chatprograms.
Dont see why i couldnt use the same things in a much more lightweight distro as this one.
So i might give it a shot soon wink

Got to say the forum/community is great, nice and helpful people.

It's funny. I have 10.04 installed and kind of liked it. Then got Statler and really enjoy it.
Now, after some time of using Crunchbang I booted to Ubuntu and found it sooo slooow big_smile
Being also a distro-hopper I've tried many different things, but when I found #! nothing can really satisfy me.
Well, still didn't try Arch and FreeBSD big_smile, but I already feel I'm spoiled by Corenominal cool
