Topic: Nice job, chaps!

I have successfully got a laptop (Compaq nc6120) and a netbook (Samsung N140) crunching away with Statler and I really like the calm ... absence of eye candy.   The netbook in particular is definitely working better,  both wifi and 3G work with less fuss than with Windows.

I had the UK-keyboard issue (this seems to be a common one) even though I asked for an American keyboard mapping in the install.

There was an oddness with the Compaq where grub got confused after the install and believed that my Linux partition was /dev/hda2, not /dev/sda2, but that was not too complicated to fix afterwards with the live USB key.
