Awesome 3.4.7 + #! 9.04 - anybody tried it yet? I need help installing

Ok, I managed to get through the chaos of missing dependencies, I run make, it gets 3% and then gives me this outcome:

@ arpinux: By the way, you are running AWM 3.4.6 in statler now? What are your impressions?

I was trying to implement Awesome and then xmonad but I didn't manage to. Well, I installed xmonad from the repos, but now have to do all the reading because at the moment it just gives me a blank screen with the pointer - nothing else I can do. It's ver 0.8 - I have the latest v 0.9.1 but i cannot build it:( Same with Awesome - cannot build it. I' pretty vexed at the moment, I've put Mb worth of dependencies for nothing. Damn;) I'm afraid that it's out of my league at the moment and I actually have nothing to complain about with Ob - I love it. I just wanted to know how slim and simplistic I could go, but xmonad and Awesome are super tricky to build...since I'm not using a multi monitor setup I don't really need it, I guess. And after seeing how many extra MB there is in the dependencies the argument of them being lightweight is sort of non-existent...I don't know...
I think statler is defo the right move tho. Which one you think works better?

I would definitely go for statler. Awesome is what made me make the move from 9.04 to statler. Hope it all works out.

Awesome 3.4.6 is pretty nice. I'm not sure what all exactly has changed from 3.4.5 to .6, but it works just as well. Light, fast, easy on battery life.
Though I would still never recommend building it from source. When I tried, for whatever reason, it asked for gdm and some things having to do with login that weren't needed when I pulled it from the repos.
