Topic: Well, you don't see that every day.

At work today I'd popped out to the car park to grab some food
(We have a burger van on-site)

While waiting there I saw Gavin, our resident IT guru popping to his car.
On his way back he strolled over to where I was waiting and said "Have a look at this and see what you think"
He handed me an object in a bag that turned out to be an ATX power supply.

Apparently a friend of his had asked him to look at their PC as it had suddenly died.

On closer inspection he'd found this...

Yep, that is what you think it is... A vole, trapped in the fan (Very obviously dead.)

The only thing we can't figure out is how the #@%! it got in there!

This week's operating systems (subject to change)
LAPTOP : Crunchbang Statler AMD64 Openbox / Fedora 16 "Verne" x86_64 Gnome 3.2.1 / Win7 64bit
DESKTOP : Crunchbang Statler AMD64 Openbox / openSUSE 12.1 x86_64 Gnome 3.2.1 / Winvista 64bit

I hope that's not the case are gnawed up.

Re: Well, you don't see that every day.

Is that a 110 to 240 vole PSU?

Re: Well, you don't see that every day.

That's insane? Is there no other fan hole?

Re: Well, you don't see that every day.

Ew.

Perhaps you should submit it? And does the PC now work again, with or without that power supply?

Re: Well, you don't see that every day.

nice, reminds me of when my parents microwave broke, my dad fixed it by removing a mouse from the inside. (coudn't work out how that got in there either).
